Our 3 bedroom Penthouse apartment directly on the first lagoon beach in El Cotillo, has recently undergone a major renovation and refurbishment project, with modern and updated design features, brand new kitchen and appliances and all new furniture throughout giving it a real beach house feel. The large dual aspect and very private roof terrace has been laid with teak decking and furnished with teak sun loungers, a massive stone top dining table seating 6 people comfortable, and various other seating options – and of course still with the most stunning views to both the lagoon beaches, the ocean and to the village of El Cotillo.
The property has an en suite master bedroom with super king size bed and stunning lagoon and beach views. There is another double bedroom with a king size bed, and a 3rd bedroom with 2 extra large single beds, both rooms facing the village and both with partial sea views, and sharing a separate family bathroom.
The open plan living area has floor to ceiling windows offering panoramic views of the lagoons. This area has a fully equipped kitchen and a dining table and seating for 6 people, and lounge with 2 comfortable sofas.
Downstairs is the shared 250 sq m pool (not heated). There is also a smaller children´s pool. Surrounding the pool is a large sunbathing area with supplied sun loungers and attractive gardens with gates leading directly onto the beach.
Construction works close to Marfolin apartments
They say that the only constant in life is that change happens, and that is as true in El Cotillo as anywhere in the world. As El Cotillo develops and modernises it’s of course natural that new buildings pop up, and this sometimes means periods of construction work that may impact on the normally peaceful and serene setting.
We may not be able to stop change from happening, but we always look out for our customers and their hard-earned holiday money, and will consistently go the extra mile to make your stay as perfect as we possibly can! We take care to ensure that you’re fully informed before you book your next getaway, and where the effects may be felt most, we’ve worked hard to negotiate discounted rates with property owners that take account of, and we hope mitigate, any issues around noise and other construction-related disruptions.
At present, in order to develop a new Aparthotel in the area adjacent to the South-facing side of the Marfolin complex, construction work has commenced (from Monday to Friday, between the hours of 8am and 6pm and occasional Saturday mornings), and is likely to continue for some time. As is often the case in the Canaries, information about the overall plan and timings of construction phases is in limited supply, so we cannot be sure if building will be ongoing during your holiday, or to which stage it might have progressed.
For these reasons, we have undertaken extensive negotiations with property owners to secure discounts that reflect the potential disruption to your daytime holiday activities, depending on the relative proximity of each apartment to the continuing works. Of course, we understand that such works might discourage some. But for others, the prospect of a discounted price will mean that some limited disruption will be almost no issue at all, happening at a time when you’d normally be enjoying the beaches, setting out on an adventure to explore the island, shopping, pampering yourself, or even patrolling the coast-line looking for the best waves or snorkelling spots.
Simply Cotillo Customers booking @ Marfolin at reduced rates guaranteed until Christmas 2021 (but subject to review as we move into 2022), now fully aware of ongoing construction works, acknowledge the change in conditions whilst work is taking place, and as such will not be eligible to rearrange dates or to seek a refund if they are dissatisfied upon arrival or during their stay.
Marfolin 35 | Situated on the first floor with a terrace that faces both North and Southward, directly adjacent to the construction works, a level of noise and disruption is to be expected between the hours of 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday and occasional Saturday mornings. However, the impact is reduced in Marfolin 35 due to the Northerly facing master bedroom and living area. The other two bedrooms are oriented to the South and overlook a plot which is currently used for debris storage, but which may later be built upon. In recognition of the inconvenience that this might cause, a generous discount of approximately 13-28%, depending on number of guests and seasonal rates, is applied to this apartment. These apartments at such a fantastic weekly rate would be ideal for those who tend to spend their days out exploring, frolicking on the beaches or in the sea, or those who prize value over day-time serenity.
